The education today cannot be confined to a limited objective of making the students literate, but the holistic approach is required to ensure the overall development of personality of the students. The Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe Dept. of Hotel Management, Kolhapur make constant endeavors to give a proper shape to the personalities of the young students to make them ideal citizens of the Nation. The Institute plans a variety of activities and events to make the learning a world class one. We inculcate positive attitude in the students and prepare them to face new challenges in the world. The children are exposed to the rich and proud heritage of our country. Human values are also imparted to the students. They are also made aware of the purpose of the education, economic and social factors prevailing in the society, to prepare them to solve these problems as and when they encounter.

I take this opportunity and welcome all those young and ambitious youth to make a career in hospitality industry.

With the changing time, the needs of the individual and the country have taken parameter. The Hospitality career offers the challenging prospects with the scope to prove him and contribute to the national wealth as well.

The Hospitality industry in general and hotels in particular are service oriented required special grooming to join workforce in the industry.

We here at the Institute are fully prepared and equipped with all the competencies to accept challenges of the industry and provide competent boys and girls for years to come. Through over placement assistance cell students of our Institute are already getting groomed in the best hotels and individual own business. I am sure they will prove themselves once they get on the job.

It gives me great pleasure to have a dialogue with you through this short message. The Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha’s Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe Department of Hotel Management (BSDHM) is situated centre of city where it is easy approach to institute from various places nearby Kolhapur.

The campus is vibrant and full of activities to suit every type of personality. The institute has excellent teachers, who are not only highly qualified and trained but also work with missionary zeal of shaping the students’ personality. We have no stone unturned to fulfill the needs of the students to enable them to excel in their chosen field of activity.
